Being a Social Worker I am serving from previous twenty five years in different sectors of community development in program implementation as a CEO with responsibilities includes, Governance and Leadership, Strategic Planning, Policy Development, Programme Design, Network and Partnership Management, Office management, Institutional leadership, Technical backstopping etc. Non-Government Organizations with whom I have been a part are UNICEF, ILO, UNDP, WFP, DFIED, SUNGI, USAID, MSF France, CDI & NOOR. Government Organizations with whom I have been working are Small Industries Muzaffarabad Government of AJK and National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) I have assisted governmental and non-governmental agencies, foundations, and the private sector by designing, implementing and evaluating programs in mainstreaming DRR into livelihood , Health, WASH and Education , Inclusive risk assessment by using various approaches like COVACA, VACA, HVCA etc. With the blessing of Almighty i have been awarded with appreciation letters many times for the services I have rendered by government and non-government agencies including Appreciation Letter from CIDA (Canada) first Secretary Development, Anne Wood Bridge. I have been nominated many times for abroad exposure visits / trainings that make me enable to interact with and learn from multi-cultural environments and practitioners, view practical examples of successful integration of sustainable practices in different sectors of community development. Countries I have visited are Thailand, K0rea, Hong Kong ,Macao, KSA,UAE, China & Japan.

Being in the social, commercial and government sector I have more than 27 years of experience in finance, accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, inventory control and fixed assets management. For previous 14 years managing project reporting, budget preparation, budget revision, budget modifications and budget analysis Dealing in foreign exchange, international transactions and setting off of foreign gain/loss for previous 13 years. For more 16 years working as head of the finance and accounts department For previous 12 years conducting internal audit for departments, field offices and partners Working for more than 8 years grants compliance. For previous 8 years supervising office administration, procurement and HR During my tenure I worked with ministry of defense (GOP), and on projects of International Rescue Committee, WHO, USAID, Concern worldwide In social sector I worked in health, education, volunteerism, DRR and social development sectors.

Program Manager – Diya International

Professional Background:

In development sector I have over twenty years’ experience working in Pakistan, in Project Management, Team building and Community Development Projects, Monitoring & Evaluation with various sectors like Health, WASH, Education, Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction, Psycho-Social Support , Gender and Development. Proven expertise and experience in community-based DRM, school-based DRM, DRR planning and risk assessment, Health inclusive DRR, livelihood and DRR, WASH and DRR, gender in emergencies and mainstreaming DRR into development. This is supported by strong competencies and track record in project management, stakeholder coordination/liaison, institutional strengthening and training. This includes work for a range of donors and agencies (including UNICEF, USAID, and CEDA) for the development and implementation of multi- sectoral projects/programmes. With Experience in Program Initiatives, management, Optimizing Learning Atmosphere, Staff Development & Promoting a Safe, Congenial working Environment; I have a proven record of achieving program Goals & Objectives through Effective internal & external Communication & a firm commitment to team-centered learning.

Shakeel Ahmed Khan

Media & Communication Coordinator

Professional Background:

Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Khan is working as Media & communication focal point in different organizations from previous fifteen years. As a Diya International’ Media and Communications Coordinator he will lead a dynamic Marketing and Communication team, responsible for communication dissemination of several major projects, driving content creation on Diya’s marketing channels, supervising press activities and supporting the development of corporate communications plans. He will be responsible to create content, liaise with project body and serve as the main point of contact. He will conduct research and administer social media tools. Responsible for writing / editing / compelling news, marketing and editorial content on Diya’s communications channels including, website, social media, newsletters, videos, annual report, policy papers and brochures. He will contribute proactively to Diya’s editorial calendar and collaborate with other Diya’s departments, experts and partners to ensure relevant content is promoted at the optimal time on the most effective channels. Will also support consistent editorial style and ensure that Diya’s editorial guidelines are implemented and up-to-date. He will also contribute to drive communications by pushing key strategic messages in written content.
